We Got Us is the flagship community-driven health equity initiative of the JAEMedia brand dedicated to reducing barriers to care and affirming wellness as a collective responsibility. WGU creates safe and empowering spaces for Black communities to access free health screenings, wellness workshops, and experimental experiences.

Each “Edition” provides preventative screenings based on a specific illness or condition with activities such as run clubs, yoga sessions, and wellness panels. WGU affirms that health is not an individual burden but a shared journey toward stronger, healthier futures.

Through partnerships with healthcare providers, local organizations, and aligned brands, WGU bridges gaps in access with trust, innovation, and culturally rooted wellness education. Each activation is designed to bring preventive care directly into the community while fostering empowerment and connection. Grounded in lived experience and research, WGU reimagines what health equity looks like in practice — community-centered, accessible, and unapologetically for us.
